The Gist (Minus Spoilers)
What else can I say. There are some zombies, and they try to run away. Members of their team are slowly picked off, and there is an ambiguous yet hopeful ending. There’s not much more to expect from a zombie movie.
What I Liked
You will notice that I’ve labeled the genre as “Zombie Movie”, not “Horror”. This is because I like zombie movies so much, they deserve a category of their own. This was borderline B Movie material, but there was lots of awesome stuff to like about it.
First off, there is a very weird mix of famous people and nobodies. It looked like some project that was cooked up at a back yard Hollywood barbeque. Then, there were lots of rules broken in the movie. People died I didn’t expect to die, babies got stomped, though there were lots of indications they would find a cure, nothing ever came about.
What I Didn’t Like
It was a typical lame B horror with corny lines, bad acting, and amateur script writing. Zombie effects were pretty good, but still average. If you are looking for HQ film-stuff here, you’ll be disappointed.
When to Watch
I watched it in the afternoon because I just consume movies like that, so it probably sucked some of the fun out of it. You could watch it as a B movie with a couple of buddies, or late at night by yourself for some good scares.
Outside the USA and cant’ get Netflix? Fix that problem with a US IP.
